1990: received doctoral degree in theoretical computer science
(Inductive Sythesis of Term Rewriting Systems) in Novosibirsk (russia).
1991-1992: postdoctoral in New Mexico State University, USA, where besides
theoretical research also learned about computer networks and Internet in
particular.
1992-: researcher and lecturer in
University of Latvia, Institute of
Mathematics and Computer Science. In parallel also one of the LATNET
(Latvian research network) creators and administrators.
